Emily Kearns

Emily Kearns is the founder and President of Kearns Consulting. Emily is a strategy consultant, planner, policy analyst, and sociologist. With more than 25 years of experience in a variety of organizational settings, Emily brings a unique and very practical background in applied social sciences, business, and project management to every engagement. With expertise in developing successful, innovative, and sustainable programs that have real impact and measurable outcomes, Emily works with a variety of clients to cultivate new opportunities and to grow value in a today's competitive environment.

Emily serves in a variety of leadership roles and provides research, policy analysis, evaluation, program/product design and development, public and private grant writing, curriculum/training, and presentations in local and national venues. She has successfully garnered resources for exciting local and regional initiatives including care transitions, mobility management, and chronic disease self-management programs. Her efforts aim to work with organizations to grow healthy communities that support all people, especially seniors and people with disabilities, by providing them access to the resources they need to live the lives they choose.

Emily is also an artist and writer. Sponsored by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, she produced a multi-media installation, Dementia's Way: a Meditation on Presence, providing a community dialogue on memory-loss, caregiving, and dementia. She is currently writing about her work and experience with her parents, contributing to a book on caregiving and policy.

Emily holds an MBA from Northeastern University's Global Executive MBA Program and a doctorate in sociology from Boston College.
